Scaffold job kit list
The tools, equipment and documents a scaffold job needs before the crew goes up. Pick the job, the crew and the height: the list shows what fits and how many. Tick as you load the truck.

Lifeline kit (12 mm wire rope)
A horizontal lifeline is engineered: a competent person designs the span, sag, number of users, anchor loads and the clearance below. This list is the kit, not the design.
Before you rely on this list
Your client's rules come first. On Saudi Aramco sites that means GI 8.001 and the Construction Safety Manual; check the latest editions. AL-YASSIN is independent and not endorsed by Saudi Aramco.
Quantities are a starting point for one crew: add spares for the length of the job and the size of the site.
Figures such as clip numbers, rope weight and the 5.5 m line are typical. The maker's instructions and the scaffold or lifeline design decide.
Questions
SRL or lanyard: which one at what height?
This page uses the common site rule: below 5.5 m, a self-retracting lifeline (SRL), because a shock-absorbing lanyard needs more clearance below the anchor than there is; from 5.5 m, a twin-leg shock-absorbing lanyard with one leg always clipped on. The real test is the fall clearance: the maker's chart and your client's rule decide.
Why a brass hammer?
Brass does not spark. In live plant and hazardous areas, steel tools that can make sparks may need a hot work permit; non-sparking tools let the crew work under the normal permit where the plant allows it.
How many wire rope clips on a 12 mm lifeline?
Usually at least 3 per eye, saddle on the live (loaded) side of the rope, about 6 rope diameters apart, tightened to the clip maker's torque and checked again after the first load. Follow the clip maker's table and the lifeline design.
Does this list replace the method statement or JSA?
No. It helps you bring what the method statement, the JSA and the permit ask for. Those documents, and the scaffold design, decide the job.
