Five findings
- 01
About 1 in 10 finished attempts passed
25 of 238 finished attempts reached the pass mark (10.5%). Pass marks: 85% for the Saudi Aramco practice exams, 70% for the role exams.
- 02
Supervisor I is the hardest to pass
154 finished attempts, 6% passed, average score 46%. It covers every scaffold type, including special scaffolds, scaffold plans, underhung and bracket scaffolds.
- 03
The most-missed rule: clearance from power lines
The question missed most often (28 times) is the minimum clearance of 3 m from insulated power lines of 300 V to 50 kV, from Saudi Aramco CSM II-2 §2.5.9 B and Table 2.2 as used in the exam bank. Verify against the latest edition.
- 04
The weakest topic: access, ladders and egress
Across all attempts, the topic with the lowest average score is access, ladders and egress, at 45%.
- 05
Half of those who start, finish
453 exams were started and 238 were finished (53%). The exam is one timed 50-minute sitting.

Method and limits
Data come from the free AL-YASSIN online exams on alyassinscaffold.com in the 30 days to 17 October 2026. A finished attempt is one submitted for marking; one person can make several attempts. Takers choose to sit the exams, so they are not a random sample of the workforce. The Saudi Aramco practice exams follow the topics of the Saudi Aramco scaffold certificates under GI 8.001; they are not Saudi Aramco exams and these are not Saudi Aramco figures. Exams with fewer than 20 finished attempts are shown but should not be read as rates.
